What is Ax.c
Ax.c occupies two floors, about 100,000 square feet, on the former trading floor of the Montreal Exchange, at Place Victoria Tower, right in the business district. The project was built by the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS), through its Centech incubator, and by Québec Tech, backed by the governments of Quebec, Canada and the City of Montreal, for an initial public investment of $48M. An additional $5.25M in private funding, announced in the fall of 2024, comes from Bell, Google Canada, Desjardins and the Fonds de solidarité FTQ, spread out through 2029.
The space opened its doors on June 9, 2025, after roughly seven years of planning. More than 100 companies applied to lease office space; about forty were selected as initial tenants, alongside a shared workspace open to other companies in the ecosystem, which Oriana Solutions is now part of.
Ax.c sits at 800 Rue du Square-Victoria, directly above the Square-Victoria–OACI metro station, in Montreal's International Quarter, walking distance from Old Montreal, the Palais des congrès and most downtown head offices.
Why Oriana Solutions chose Ax.c
Beyond proximity to other tech companies, joining Ax.c is first about community: being surrounded, day to day, by inspiring and innovative entrepreneurs who face the same growth challenges, rather than staying isolated in a closed office. It's also fertile ground for building partnerships and doing business development, with dozens of companies, funds and large organizations within reach.
That proximity to the ecosystem helps a lot with our own development, notably for Consorm (consorm.ca), our Law 25-compliant consent management platform. Our ambition is to turn it into a global reference in data protection and privacy in the age of AI, and Ax.c brings us closer to the partners, investors and experts who can help us get there.
More broadly, it ties into the vision we hold for Oriana Solutions: making custom-built software accessible to every SME, and building a Quebec tech company that shines internationally. We don't think we'll get there alone, in a closed office; we think we'll get there surrounded.
